Review

The Innovator's Handbook is a valiant attempt to uncover the unspoken skills adopted by industry leaders. The book sheds light on ten factors that help individuals understand the mindset of innovators. That being said, I would like to share some thoughts on the book that may be useful for anyone intending to read it.The first question that came to mind when I saw the book was its targeted audience. At first, I assumed that the book was aimed solely at juniors seeking guidance to stand out in highly competitive creative industries. However, after going through the content of the book, I am leaning towards changing this belief. This book is a versatile tool that can be utilized in different ways. It can serve as a guide for those at the junior level or those who feel lost without a roadmap to guide them in their creative career path. Additionally, it can be used as a reference to help refresh one's creative identity from time to time, or as a mentorship guide for seniors in creative industries who want to help juniors working under them. The language of the book is smooth and simple, and the graphics and presentation silently speak to the author's imagination and creativity. The book's concise presentation is bold and may be criticized by some, but it is part of what makes this book unique.Almossawi has done an excellent job demonstrating that creativity can be a process, and being brave enough to be oneself is essential to the creative process. I was inspired by the book's suggestion that criticism can also be constructive and drive one to stand out from the crowd. I strongly recommend reading this book for two reasons: first, because reading it is an enjoyable experience, and second, because the book's content is inspiring, especially when facing a creativity blockage.
