Her lifeless body was found spread out over a busy I-10 interstate in New Orleans. The story gained national attention and to date remains unsolved. Many questions circulated. How could this beautiful, vibrant, young lady face such an untimely fate?Who could have done this to her? As the bible quotes “No one knows the minute, day or the hour. “ For the most part, we realize death is a part of life. But—what if it’s senseless, unexplained, and to date unsolved? As a mother, how do you live beyond that pain? Do you hold on to the pain and spiral in a depression or do you live through memories? Kaylan’s mother, Keniesha decided to live through the memories and not only help solve her child’s mysterious death, but also to help other teens who struggle with the growing pains of life to not make the poor decisions that Kaylan made that may have lead to her untimely death. She didn’t come from a poverty stricken home-in fact she was well educated, well balanced and very popular. So what do you do as a mother who is heartbroken, but still have two other children to raise? You tell HER STORY. YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH OF HER PAINS. YOU REACH OUT TO OTHERS going yet through so that Kaylan’s Story becomes YOUR STORY. Kaylan’s story becomes your reason to live, laugh, and learn. Kenisha decided to allow her pain to be someone’s saving grace. As we walk you through this story, we hope that if you are a child-you will listen to your parents.
