Desciption

Jane could make all but the deadliest of enemies into an Ally, and Elizabeth's wit was matched only by her skill with a blade. Stories where Mary was their scholar, Kitty their spell crafter, and Lydia could danced a ward of protection to repel any threat. The Regency Era wasn't really designed for Magical Superheros, but somehow, the Bennet sisters made it work, as the Morris sisters had before them, and the Purvius brothers before them, back to the founding of Meryton. As long as the Darkness infested a small estate in Herefordshire, there would rise someone to drive it back.At least there was dancing involved, even if handsome officers in red coats had to be treated cautiously. Lydia should hate it if fighting evil deprived her of Balls and Assemblies entirely! It was sure to make finding a husband more difficult than it ought to be; Evil had no sense of etiquette or decorum!Ten years after the first banished the Darkness, Netherfield Park has been let at last, and while Papa sees new neighbours to make sport of, and Mama sees an opportunity to have their daughters married off to rich men, those daughters are seeing portents, and omens, and a danger they thought had been vanquished..."Every Possibility of Future Happiness" weaves elements of Fantasy and Adventure into Jane Austen's classic Pride and Prejudice, where the Bennet sisters must band together to defeat a great evil... hopefully without scaring off their suitors in the process! Review

4.5 rounded up to 5 starsEntertaining fantasy variation of Pride and Prejudice that gives the five Bennet sisters magical powers. They must protect their little corner of Hertfordshire against the Powers of Darkness that are re-emerging at Netherfield with the arrival of its new occupants and guest. The three youngest Bennets are of equal importance with their older sisters. All five can recognize anything amiss and uncover dark secrets, and they band together to engage in physical combat when necessary. The apparent lack of sense that Mary, Kitty, and Lydia display is an act. In fact, much of this story is limited to Lydia's point of view, which includes her observations when Lizzy and Mr. Darcy interact. Mary's talents include the ability to cast a scrying spell, which she uses to monitor activities at Netherfield and in Meryton. While Mr. Bingley has a harmless, benevolent energy, they perceive Mr. Darcy's magical aura. It requires investigation to determine whether he's a friend or a foe. When the book shifts to his point of view, he has the same observation and concern about the Bennet sisters. He's particularly fascinated by Elizabeth, and she has that reaction to him, too.The story keeps up a fast and steady pace, and I just found it to be a fun read. There are a few minor misspellings and the occasional missing word, but nothing that really affected my reading pleasure. This is a stand-alone story that ends with two marriages, but it's also the first book in a series. Based on what I've read here, future books should be interesting!Content is clean.
